The Luna Crisis seems to be under control, for now. An interim government is slowly forming, with the promise of elections in the near future. With the Celestra now available for employment, several potential employers have presented themselves covertly. Amongst them, the Earth Intelligence Agency INTEL, and SevCol. Both groups express interest in gathering information on the Jovian Moons.

Two months after leaving Luna, the crew gathers on SevCol station to figure out their next move.

Revised Player’s Handbook!

We, as gamemasters, have come to the conclusion that our existing Player’s Handbook is not very user-friendly. So, we decided to do turn it into a pdf and do a small overhaul, but we would LOVE some feedback from our players on it.

The main new points, other than the skills (on which we also welcome comments and feedback) are as follows:

Financial changes: Prices are more realistic for individuals and will be tracked. Financial matters are far more streamlined.
More gear: We made some additional rules for special gear, and defined categories for them.
Damage and healing are simplified and written down more.
Character advancement rules have been streamlined and balanced.
– Spelling! It’s terrible, and we really like if you pointed out any missing/misspelled/wrong words.

What you don’t have to point out:
– The formatting is terrible! Yes, we know. Blame GoogleDocs.

Check out our new Player’s Handbook via this GoogleDocs link!

To comment, please select the word of phrase to comment on, then click the “Comment” button top-right, and then the “Comment” button on the new screen to add a comment. Please DO NOT type in the document.

Recent events on Luna have escalated. Luna’s Leader, Tony Branson, is dead. After a devastating explosion in Tony Branson’s chambers aboard Luna Prime, the station was critically damaged and eventually imploded. In this power vacuum, several factions have risen to seize control of the colony. Now the DeFans of Luna and Red Moon Faction are struggling against each other, while the Endeavour Corporate Security Force is seeking to defend their valuable corporate assets on the moon. However, the civilians on Luna are caught in between the fires.

In the opening day, the crew of the SCSS Celestra played a pivotal role in the rescue of civilians in the wake of the explosion, fought off pirates and attempted to liberate critical facilities to aid the suffering people of Luna, for the greater good.

The Celestra is currently docked at the Greentree oxygen plant, held by the Red Moon Faction. The last few days were spent repairing systems, healing injuries and grieving lost friends and comrades. Now the repairs are nearly done and the wounds are stitched, where possible. Now is a time to choose the fate of Luna, and of the seven colonies

A short briefing on the in-game situation:

After a trade-and-transport mission from Jupiter to the Ceres belt, you have ended up on Mars Orbital Station. Developments in the Solar System have been moving along, already you hear people grumbling in the corridors and see the rising prices for consumer electronics. The news and discussion channels are abuzz about the legality and morality surrounding the recent events on Luna, and their impact on the other colonies.

Spending a few days taking care of personal matters, you awaken to find a message waiting for you.

“Dear Crewmember of the SCSS Celestra,
It has come to my attention that my vessel, the SCSS Celestra, is currently berthed at Mars Orbital Station. This is a most fortuitous, if unexpected course of events. You are hereby required and directed to prepare yourself and the vessel, which shall be needed to depart under sealed instructions at the earliest convenience. The assignment is one of utmost import and requires your personal discretion.
If you do not desire to partake in this undertaking, your absence shall be noted, but will not be held against you.

– From the desk of Mr. E.”

Breaking news (May 3, 2180)

Alarming news from several directions have reached our correspondents:

An R&R trip that has left SevCol station a few hours ago, has apparently met with piracy and terrorism.

Demands for a transfer of funds has been sent out by several passengers, as well as alarming comments about ” seeds” ?

Any news will be published as we receive it, we wish the poor passengers all the best, of course.

November 7th: SevCol R & R

After the exciting and exhausting events on LC-247b, it is time for some R & R !

Every year, the famous shipping magnate Archibald Laurow invites the new recruits at SevCol Academy for their spring break. The cadets are flown to the Big Rock Candy Mountain Hotel, Laurow’s five star luxury resort on de Martian moon Deimos. Here, they will spend a week resting, recuperating, relaxing, and recreating. The trip is quite popular with the Academy’s students; not only because the resort is known for its extreme decadence and debauchery, but also because the trip is a good way to land a job on a Laurow Lines ship after graduation.

Interested midshipmen should report at the MUSS Archibald Laurow, currently docked at SevCol Station. Upon demonstrating their status as student, they will be allowed free boarding for the ship’s trip to Deimos. The ship has limited capacity, but there will not be that many other passengers, as it is currently off-season. Tickets for the Earth System – Deimos route are extremely cheap during early spring, indicating a low demand for this passage.
